Remove and Store Window Screens
After summer, some homeowners replace the windows screens with storm windows for additional protection from harsh winter weather. Remove the screens to allow more light into the home and make the windows appear clear and bright from the curb.
If the window screen is attached with spring clips, squeeze the clips and pull the screen out. If held in place with screws, use a screwdriver to remove the screws and then lift the screen out. After removing the screens, clean them with a mild soap and water solution. Rinse each screen well and allow it to air dry completely before storing it for the season.
